Rockslides on Tujunga Canyon Rd forced us to switch routes.  Now doing GMR/East Fork on 3/19 (that ride has a separate webpage).  Hoping we can do A Pair of Tujungas sometime late May or Early June.

Note:  You must register in advance for this ride- registration closes at noon on Friday before the ride.  There is no late registration or day-of-event registration.  You must be a member of both PCH Randonneurs and RUSA in order to register.

This is a challenging ride in the San Gabriel Mountains that travels both Lower Big Tujunga and Upper Big Tujunga Canyons.  Lots of climbing and terrific views.  Although your legs will feel the 7000 feet of climbing, it happens mostly in long, steady grades of about 5-7%- there is very little steep climbing.

This is a self- supported ride.  Riders are responsible for obtaining their own food and water out on the course.  There is no SAG vehicle.   Be sure to bring plenty of pocket food, there is no place to get food up in the mountains.  There are a couple of places to get water- at Monte Cristo Fire Station and Red Box.
